Job Title: Corporate Communications Contractor

Location: London, UK (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 months with strong possibility of extension

Rate: £450 per day inside IR35

 

About the Role:

 

Are you an experienced investment management public relations contractor with a strong network of media contacts and track record of gaining coverage in trade and business press? Comms Search & Selection is recruiting a versatile and experienced corporate communications contractor to join a global investment manager’s corporate communications team.

 

This role is ideal for a communications professional who excels in PR and media relations. You will be responsible for handling everyday press office duties, building a proactive pipeline of media opportunities and managing the firm's agencies in the UK and US.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and execute PR and media relations strategies and plans in partnership with the Global Head of Communications.

  • Draft and distribute external communications content, including press releases, thought leadership campaigns and social media.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align PR strategies with investment objectives.

  • Handle media relations, including drafting press releases, managing media inquiries, and coordinating interviews.

  • Support crisis communications and manage sensitive information with discretion.

  • Work on strategic communications projects and provide high-level support to the communications team.

  • Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.

  • Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of communication strategies and suggest improvements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in investment management corporate communications, with a strong background in both PR and media relations.

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging content.

  • Experience in developing and implementing PR plans.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strategic thinker who can also manage day-to-day tasks without hesitation.
