Job Title: Corporate Communications Contractor
Location: London, UK (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 months with strong possibility of extension
Rate: £450 per day inside IR35
About the Role:
Are you an experienced investment management public relations contractor with a strong network of media contacts and track record of gaining coverage in trade and business press? Comms Search & Selection is recruiting a versatile and experienced corporate communications contractor to join a global investment manager’s corporate communications team.
This role is ideal for a communications professional who excels in PR and media relations. You will be responsible for handling everyday press office duties, building a proactive pipeline of media opportunities and managing the firm's agencies in the UK and US.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute PR and media relations strategies and plans in partnership with the Global Head of Communications.
- Draft and distribute external communications content, including press releases, thought leadership campaigns and social media.

Collaborate with senior leadership to align PR strategies with investment objectives.

Handle media relations, including drafting press releases, managing media inquiries, and coordinating interviews.

Support crisis communications and manage sensitive information with discretion.

Work on strategic communications projects and provide high-level support to the communications team.

Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.

Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of communication strategies and suggest improvements.
Requirements:

Proven experience in investment management corporate communications, with a strong background in both PR and media relations.

Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging content.

Experience in developing and implementing PR plans.

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
